Day 9 in Singapore - after dinner entertainment

Fireworks, perfect evening temps with a slight breeze, 4000 mil. of Indian Pale Ale and 2 puddings on the way. Most def not raw, but it's my last night in Singapore, so when in Singers...

I actually can not wait to get back home to green smoothies for brunch and raw broccoli soup for dinner, as I feel so much better physically and mentally when I eat this way!

But this is my last night in Singapore with the love of my life, Charles, and he's headed to sail on the open sea to China for 4 weeks, so tonight, no matter what I eat it is OK with me!

The Singapore Tourist Pass not a bargain

Reasons not to get the Tourist Pass for the MRT (underground subway) in Singapore.

  1. Cabs are cheap and easy to get – average cost per ride is $9. If you have 2 people as I did traveling with Charles, $4.50 per person is a good deal considering the time savings and convenience. Many times there were 4 of us to a cab, so this was a great value/less per person than the subway.
  2. MRT is not really a time saver – it took me 1.75 hours to get from Orchard to VivoCity at Harbor Front– a cab would have taken 20 minutes.
  3. To get your $8 a day worth of MRT rides you need to take 4 round trips – I only took 2 per day max.
The worst crime is that the $10 deposit you pay on top of the $24 for the 3 day pass – is only refunded to you if you bring you card back within 5 days of buying it – or exactly within 48 hours of the card’s expiration. This is something they do not point out when you buy it.
