Jackfruit Discovery in Singapore
I've never seen a Jackfruit before this trip to Singapore!
I love it!
It's very sweet (has a honey flavor) and is easy to eat you if buy it cut up and packaged from "Cold Storage" as I did. See extra wiki pics for reference on what they look like NOT cut open and nicely packaged.
The jackfruit is a species of tree in the mulberry family (Moraceae), which is native to parts of South and Southeast Asia. It is the national fruit of Bangladesh. It is well suited to tropical lowlands. Its fruit is the largest tree borne fruit in the world, seldom less than about 25 cm (10 in) in diameter.
