My last breakfast in Singapore, a little raw and dim sum

It would have been about 75 percent raw if I had not gone back for extra dim sum.

Day 9 in Singapore - after dinner entertainment

Fireworks, perfect evening temps with a slight breeze, 4000 mil. of Indian Pale Ale and 2 puddings on the way. Most def not raw, but it's my last night in Singapore, so when in Singers...

I actually can not wait to get back home to green smoothies for brunch and raw broccoli soup for dinner, as I feel so much better physically and mentally when I eat this way!

But this is my last night in Singapore with the love of my life, Charles, and he's headed to sail on the open sea to China for 4 weeks, so tonight, no matter what I eat it is OK with me!

Having a jazzy afternoon in Singers

Day 9 in Singapore Breakfast 80 percent raw

Today after a huge bowl of fruit I made mushroom lettuce wraps and then had the shrimp dim sum for a treat. I calulate this meal to have been 80 percent alive.

Day 8 in Singapore - Raw Breakfast

We were out too late last night.

Luckily for us the Goodwood's breakfast buffet is open until 11:00 am.

Fruit, greens, coffee, pastry. Not 100 percent raw but today I was a bit hung over and needed more!

Two pools and a bowl of apples

Three more reasons I love the Goodwood Park Hotel in Singers!

Two marvelous places to relax while gettting vitamin D and free raw living food!

What's up with Durian Fruit?

I could not wait to try Durian Fruit.

As a person relatively new to eating a raw food living diet, it's one of the fruits I've heard about, read about and even watched a "durian eating contest"  video about!

So when I saw Durian Crepes on the dessert menu at the Goodwood, I jumped at the chance to try it. Now I know why the waitress excaimed "Oooooh!" when I ordered it.

Sadly, I am not a fan, as much as I wanted to be! No one dining with me liked it either. It was not like "vanilla pudding" and it tasted just as bad as it smelled!

Then I saw signs at the MRT stations forbidding them on the "fines" board. Apparently you can't buy them in grocery stores or bring fresh ones into your hotel rooms in Singapore either. I approve of this policy as the smell makes me gag.  However, I'm hoping the Crêpe version is not as good as a fresh, durian and I am willing to try it again.

Check out this hillarious and true durian story!

What do you think of the taste of Durian?

Jackfruit Discovery in Singapore

I've never seen a Jackfruit before this trip to Singapore!

I love it!
It's very sweet (has a honey flavor) and is easy to eat you if buy it cut up and packaged from "Cold Storage" as I did. See extra wiki pics for reference on what they look like NOT cut open and nicely packaged.

Here is the Wiki Knowledge:
The jackfruit is a species of tree in the mulberry family (Moraceae), which is native to parts of South and Southeast Asia. It is the national fruit of Bangladesh.  It is well suited to tropical lowlands. Its fruit is the largest tree borne fruit in the world, seldom less than about 25 cm (10 in) in diameter.

Day 6 in Singapore - Raw Food Dinner

We stopped for dinner at a restaurant called The Queen of Mangosteen in VivoCity. It's a British pub-type place and the name was so appealing, given my new love of mangosteen, we had to stop for a Jug of Pims and the least "pub-type fare" they offered to try to stay raw and healthy.

We chose the smoked whitefish and arugula salad, the white bait, and the veggie sandwich.  I ate the greens and veggie sandwich and Charles enjoyed the rest (he LOVES white bait!)

We then went back to the beloved Goodwood Park Hotel for our pudding: Chestnut Creme Brulee.

Cheers to another delicious day in Singapore!

Day 6 in Singapore - Raw Food Lunch

On the go and rushing through the MRT, I grabbed an

Avocado Shake: Fresh avocado, coconut milk and sugar.

There is $500 fine for Food and Bev on the MRT so I was quickly told " do not drink that."

I look forward to getting home and making this hearty shake raw and healthier (no sugar!!)
